Hello and Happy Thanksgiving!
I wanted to share some tips for family gatherings to stay on track with your wellness journey!
Be active the morning of your big meal! Go for a walk, jog, bike ride, or a trip to the gym.
Bonus points- bundle up and take your dog for a nice long walk- it'll help him regulate his nerves if you are having company, or will tire him out and get him ready for a long relaxing nap while you are away later in the day!
Volunteer to bring a healthy side dish! Not everyone will eat it, but you are likely not the only one that would appreciate having something healthy to choose!

Mixed fruit
A veg without a bunch of sugar added!
When filling your plate, remember that you don't need the same amount of food that 275 lb, 6 foot 6 inch tall, Uncle Jim does! If you like to have a little bit of everything, just scoop a small amount onto your plate. Remember that a typical meal is a main and one or two sides, not five or six. It's okay if you eat more than you normally do, just be mindful of how much you actually put on your plate!
Save room for desert! You will MOST LIKELY say yes to pie! So when eating the main meal, keep that in mind when filling your plate- save a little room and a lot of guilt!
